This poem is just the result of playing with a word list challenge over at Apollo Blessed. The words were:
Partake
Delve
Nourish
Pinnacle
Devour
Whole
Sentiment
Under
I decided to try using them at the beginning of each line....just kind of experimenting. :)
Under the street signs
Devoured by city’s sounds
Whole tribes at war
Nourished by noise, never
Partaking of peace or
Sentiment’s sweet song
Delving into desolation to
Pinnacle of poverty’s passion
fantastic word play.
ReplyDeletewelcome and enjoy the rally.

Gloria,
ReplyDeleteThis piece has a heavy feeling, dense with burden and need. I am quite impressed at the product you created from the prompt.
Fun way to use the word list!
ReplyDeleteHave you looked at Brenda W.'s wordle prompt--there are TWELVE words in each prompt! Here's my post from this week...there's a link at the end of it to the wordle site: Surrender.
