Sevenling

Day 16 - Trying a form I've never done, the sevenling.  Poem inspired by the Travel Channel:  Man v. Food - Carnivore Challenge In Baltimore

Baltimore’s great beef challenge
With steaks charred on the outside
Pink within, and juices flowing

He digs into 74 oz. of meat
Beginning with gusto, slowing halfway,
Stumbling near the end

The weight is killing us…

  5. Anthony, thank you! I would not have been able to finish one pound of steak...much less 4 1/2!
Stan, lol, a week would be about right since there were, I think, seven steaks.
rlavalette, thanks so much...wasn't sure about it. :)
Pamela, thank you!! This guy almost did it, but there was a time limit and he ran out of time with 5 or 6 bites left...and he looked so sick!!! LOL, it's really obscene!

  6. They say we are what we eat. Maybe that's where the "Holy Cow" came from? Like your sevenling. Someone mentioned the form to me a few weeks ago, but never explained it. Will have to give it a try.

  7. Gloria, loved the poem, and happy to see a new form (which I won't attempt, LOL). That Man vs. Food guy looks like a grown-up Ralphie from A Christmas Story, and his conspicuous consumption makes me queasy the times I've tried to watch. Keep wishing he'd do a food drive for Haiti, right? Amy
