Wooden Willy

Day 8 NaPoWriMo Prompt:  Write a nursery rhyme. 4 to 6 lines, 3-5 accented syllables per line

Wooden Willy rode a filly
Dora Doll said “You look silly!”
So he rode upon a bunny
Dora said, “Now you look funny!”
Wooden Willy pulled her hair,
And rode off on his teddy bear!

    The little boys in nursery rhymes are always ubfair to the little girls... so pretty true to life I guess...

    Wooden boys on little colts
    often act like little dolts
    riding past the little girls
    and pulling on their dolly curls.

    This is how their days go by:
    wooden boys make dollies cry.
    Boys and girls should never mix
    until the boys learn kinder tricks.

    Oh, but Viv, polite children seldom have fun. I like the nursery rhyme, and as Stan already points out, it is certainly true to form. But, I'll bet it was fun in the doing,
