The world without you
would have no meaning for me
would have no meaning for me
my beautiful sons
**********
Without tornadoes
Alabama would not know
such devastation
our hearts and our minds
stop mundane meanderings
to send prayers of hope
**********
This world without love
would be a nightmare beyond
would be a nightmare beyond
imagination
All good, but the first one tops the bill. I'm sure the feeling is mutual.
ReplyDeleteLove the first and the last best, Gloria. Lovely.

Stan, thank you. I really can't imagine a world without them...they bring such joy into mine. :)
ReplyDeletePamela, thank you...that's really what life is to me.
All of them are thoughtful and immediate. Love the first one though, close to heart.

Without tornadoes, jumps off the page, as it's so topical right now!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful work, Gloria. I hope your sons have seen the first poem.
ReplyDeleteAll beautifully written, Gloria.
ReplyDeleteI wish I'd written that first one :) Love it.
ReplyDeleteGloria, Hi I just had to comment here. Your first poem is very beautiful, as a Mom I know what it means.
ReplyDeleteThe second grabbed my attention, these storms are terrible, and I'm glad you didn't take a "silver lining" approach. These is no way to make a positive spin from the destructiveness of these storms is there?
Although like all disasters, we humans find our ability to bounce back and rebuild.
Your third poem is very true.
Brenda
All lovely poems, Gloria! As the mother of sons, I most definitely agree with the first one...well said...:)
